Week 1 Activities

Verso para el Sexto Grado (Verse for 6th Grade)

Savage Child

I am a savage child

Innocent, free, wild

I am all ages, my grandparents live in me

I am a sibling of the clouds

I only know how to share

I know that everything belongs to everyone and that everything is alive within me

My heart is star and I am a child of the earth

I travel atop my spirit and I walk towards eternity

-author unknown

Listen to the voice recorder. Write the verse in a note book and on a separate sheet of paper make a list of the verbs that are underlined. Practice reciting the verse to your friends and family

Verso para el Septimo y Octavo Grado (Verse for 7th and 8th Grade)

Verse for the Languages

To the one who understands the meaning of language, the world reveals itself in images.

To the one who can hear the soul of language, the world unlocks itself as a being.

To the one who experiences the spirit of language, the world bestows its strength of wisdom.

To the one who can love language, language will grant him his own power.

So I raise my heart and mind to the spirit and soul of the word;

And in my love for the word  I obtain the total experience of my SELF.

-Rudolf Steiner
