Accepting Intent to Enroll Forms for the 2020-2021 School Year
Families interested in enrolling their children in Kindergarten through Grade 8 classes or our Homeschool Enrichment Program must submit a SY 20-21 Intent to Enroll form by January 31, 2020 to place their child(ren) in the Enrollment Lottery. The Intent to Enroll forms are also available at the front office. The lottery will occur on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. If your child is selected in the lottery, enrollment packets will be sent to you from our Director of School Performance after confirmation in February. Please contact Sarah Kreger with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In keeping with Waldorf philosophy and for the long-term benefits of the children, we highly recommend that incoming kindergarten students turn five years old by June 1st of the year they enter kindergarten. We will accept children who are five years old by October 1st, but it may be recommended that they remain in kindergarten a second year. Based on the Waldorf pedagogy, children should be 6 years old turning 7 years old when they are in 1st grade. Children applying for 1st grade who are younger than 6 years old will be encouraged to enroll in kindergarten. Exceptions to the age policy may be made by consent of the class teacher and the Executive Leadership Team and parent concerns and requests must be submitted in writing.
