Willow 6th Grade Changes
We are sad to announce that Ms. Kaycee Cook will be leaving her position as the Willow 6th grade class teacher due to health concerns. We will miss her enthusiastic presence and leadership of the class. Her last day will be Friday, October 19. We wish Ms. Cook all the very best as she takes time to focus on regaining her health. We are so grateful for her conscientious approach to education with the 6th grade, and send our deep and sincere thanks to her. We also hope to see her as she checks in on the class of students she cares so much for.
We are extraordinarily blessed, however, to have the perfect teacher to take over for her — Ms. Regina Splees, who will officially start Monday, October 22. She has already spent time with the class, and much time with the Executive Leadership Team who has utmost confidence in her. Ms. Splees has considerable teaching experience in Japan, Hawai’i, and Colorado Springs. Our Pedagogical Coordinator, Donald Samson, has also been meeting with her to help her prepare for the Waldorf-inspired 6th grade curriculum. We are absolutely delighted to know that the Willow 6th Grade will be in such capable and loving hands. Ms. Splees and Ms. Cook are working closely together during this transition.
Please direct any questions to the Executive Leadership Team: Dr. Teresa Woods, Mr. Dan Kurschner, or Ms. Sarah White.
