Middle School Spring Concert

Middle School Spring Concert

Tuesday, May 14, 6:30 p.m. MSCS Gym

On Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m., our Middle School Choir will be presenting their first annual Spring Concert to our community. This vibrant, young, 80-voice ensemble has been working diligently on a variety of engaging, entertaining and inspiring musical pieces during this semester, and they are excited about offering them to friends and families of MSCS.

This evening will be a real treat for music lovers of all kinds. Your heart will dance with the playfully descriptive “Riversong.”  You will be deeply moved by Emily Dickinson’s lovely poem set to music, “I Shall Not LIve in Vain.” “Let Freedom Ring” will make you want to rise up and shout.  The gentle and picturesque “Something Told the Wild Geese” is something the little ones (and little ones at heart) will love. You will also enjoy a powerful number from from the wonderful contemporary musical, Hamilton.  And to close out the evening, we will be doing the timeless and inspirational, “The Impossible Dream,” from Man of La Mancha.

Your hearts will swell with pride as you see your students decked out in their finest and hear their beautiful voices singing these wonderful songs. So, mark it on your calendars, Tuesday, May 14, 6:30 p.m., in the MSCS gym. You will be so glad you came!

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Mike Harris (Mr. Mike)

Middle School Choir Director
