Economic Data Survey – Fee Waivers
Thank you to everyone who has completed and submitted your Economic Data Survey form!
So far, 63% of our households have turned in these forms. We need, however, a higher rate of participation in order to have an accurate representation of our school’s demographics. This information is critical for additional funding that the school may be eligible to receive. Please complete and return your Economic Data Survey form if you have not already done so.
Why is this necessary?
All public schools are eligible for additional school funding based on the economic demographics of their student body. In order to qualify, we need to have a high rate of participation from all families, whether or not they qualify for free and reduced status. A high rate of participation ensures an accurate representation of our demographics, which allows appropriate decisions about school funding to be made.
Those households who qualify for free and reduced status will have supply fees and kindergarten fees waived. The only way to qualify for fee waivers is to complete and return the forms.
How private is my financial information?
Financial information is some of the most private information a family has, and we understand the hesitation to share such data. We assure you, however, that this information is confidential, secure, and placed in a locked file. The only person authorized to see the forms is Mr. Dan Kurschner, Director of Operations. We encourage you to deliver your completed form to the school in a sealed envelope and address it directly to him. When he enters the data into the database, it contains no names, addresses, or any other identifying information. Thus, the collected data is completely anonymous.
Thank you again for your participation in helping us understand our true demographics. This is critical information for additional funding that the school may be eligible to receive.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Dan Kurschner, Director of Operations, firstname.lastname@example.org.
