Board Representative:

General Purpose – The Grant Writing Committee, as a subcommittee of the Finance Committee, is commissioned by and responsible to the Board to coordinate funding streams via grants.

Appointments and Composition

  1. Appointments of the Chair and members of the Grant Writing Committee shall be made annually by the Chair of the Board with the advice and consent of the Board and ELT in accordance with the Bylaws. 
  2. Committee members may be appointed and need not be members of the Board.


  1. Communicate with Finance Committee and ELT on funding initiatives
  2. Coordinate with Finance Committee and ELT in the creation of process for administration of grants and allocation of funds
  3. Create a tracking system for grant proposals, in process, and received
  4. Conduct grant matching research
  5. Complete reports where and when required by funders, and collect the necessary data that will inform those reports
